Architecture has been believed one of the oldest professions in the world, which strives to meet the most basic needs of humanity within the scope of designing the entire living space of human beings. The creation of livable environments has actualized as a result of cooperation with different fields of science through the supervision of architects and city planners. Present day, architectural education is at the scale of city and building; in addition to functional, social, historical, cultural, aesthetic, and economic criteria, it should be setting include technical and social issues for the building of a healthy and sustainable world. In this context, Yıldız Technical University Faculty of Architecture is a nationally and internationally recognized educational institution with its influential educational infrastructure from the past and its innovative education program that completes current requirements. Our graduates are trained in an educational process that is sensitive to the natural and historic environment, as well as being an analyst in the relationship between the physical environment and design, and containing all the theoretical and practical knowledge required for the creation of appropriate physical environmental conditions. In our faculty, the academic curriculum has been effectively supported by exhibitions, workshops, seminars, conferences, and workshops. The architecture undergraduate program provides education in two different languages, English and Turkish, while City and Regional Planning undergraduate program provide education in Turkish (30% English). Our graduate programs which include eight master's and seven doctorate degrees affiliated with the department of architecture; five master's and one doctorate programs affiliated with the city and regional planning department, deliver education and research opportunities. Our faculty, which has many diverse and essential communication channels thank its exchange programs, is an institution with national (MIAK) and international (NAAB) accreditation.
